Bathing Suits To Hide Leg Cellulite
The suit you buy when you want modesty, comfort, and a splash of classy vintage style!
This is a fantastic suit. As a 40-something mum, I was scared to death about purchasing swimwear online, but I have to give a huge thanks to the many ladies who shared their measurements and reviews here; because of you, I was able to gauge the right size and avoid the disappointment of having to return stuff.
I’m 5’9″ and 141lbs; normally I wear a 10 in skirts/shorts/pants and a M in tops. I went with a L (12-14) for this suit and was very pleased that I had. The top fits perfectly with no pinching, and the bottom – while a teensy bit snug due to a spot of post-pregnancy pooch – is not uncomfortable. Getting the next size up would have had the bottom hanging off of me like a dishtowel.
So how was the reaction from the general public when I debuted the suit? Let’s just say that any swimsuit that makes your fashion-savvy daughter drop what she’s doing and exclaim, “Mom! You look beautiful! It’s so 1950-ish!” is a rare gem, indeed.
Love it! Love it! LOVE it!
I was so unsure of which size to buy in this adorable suit. I read through all of the reviews, gathered up my self esteem and bought a medium based on the measurements and my measurements. I am 5’7, 140lbs, wear a 4/6 in women’s pants and medium or size 10 in tops (I like them on the looser side). My waist is 29in, my hips are 35in, bust is 34C.
The medium fits perfectly. I’m not toned AT ALL and have zero abs and this suit is perfect for hiding my laziness. If I had gotten a large in the top, I think I would have liked it a tad better, but that’s just me, I like my shirts to be looser (mostly to hide my lack of exercise), but the the bottoms would have been way too loose. You can judge from my pics if you think it is successful. I also have to admit, I’m well into middle age and was worried this might be too cutesy, but it looks adorable, my husband loves it and I feel completely comfortable. I don’t find the skirt to be too full, it’s perfect.
2XL fits me perfectly. I am 215lbs, 5′ …
2XL fits me perfectly. I am 215lbs, 5′ 5″, and have bra size of 40DD. This is the first bathing suit I have bought online and this is also the first bathing suit I have ever owned that made me feel sexy/cute wearing it. It has A LOT of padding in the bust, which normally isn’t something I care for, but in this case it helps shapes my body to a more hour glass figure. I want to say the padding is almost a 1/4 inch thick. It is well fastened in, so the padding does not shift around. (I have had other bathing suits with padding that rolls/shifts around after the first swim).
Prepare to get compliments if you wear this suit!
I wasn’t sure which color to order… navy blue or pink… so I ordered them both!!
The fit is consistent between the two colors, which is great because I LOVE LOVE LOVE these suits!! And I get compliments on them every time I wear them.
For reference: I’m 5’8, 165-170, wear US 12 / L, 36 C on top. I’m not too fond of my tummy and thighs.
From reading the reviews, I decided to go with an XXL. I think an XL would have been okay, but I really like the way that the XXL fits me.
Every time I’ve worn these suits, I’ve gotten compliments and ladies asking me where I got it.
I was even able to ‘get away’ with wearing this in a “no swimsuits” area because it looks so much like a cute tennis dress!
I find that they are very good quality – good fabric, secure stitching, etc. and the price is very reasonable. Also, they wash up wonderfully. I wash mine on gentle cycle and hang or tumble dry on low heat. They’ve come out perfect every time.
TL;DR? Size up by at least one size (the Amazon size chart doesn’t help) – maybe two if you have special figure needs, consistent sizing among colors, very good quality, can be worn for other than swimming and adorable style.
Ordered this bathing suit to take to my first West Coast trip to California for my oldest daughter’s wedding in San Diego. I am 51 years old and the mother of 8 children (yes I gave birth to each one, with a set of identical triplets in the middle) so I have some places that I would rather not display publicly 🙂 After reading lots of reviews, I chose this bathing suit!
I am 5’6″ and weigh 158 lbs and typically wear a Medium top 8-10 and pants size from 8-12 (bathing suits usually always a Medium, but went up a size) (I do have curvy hips and a smaller chest). I ordered the large after reading the reviews and it fit perfectly, a medium would have been too tight on my waist and hips. The vintage look was adorable and I received many compliments and others wanted to know where they could buy it. The top covered me and I felt modest but not frumpy, the skirt was long enough to cover the tops of my thighs where my skin is a bit flabby and I have some veins that aren’t my friends. Definitely would recommend this purchase!
Im 5’3 weigh 189 40DD-Excellent fit & internet buy
– suit arrive as stated Tues July 12th 2016- LIKE most I don’t buy clothes on line unless I know for sure, the clothes will fit! took a chance -this was an excellent buy to cover my stomach rolls-we all can weigh the same but due to height -muscle mass we look different.these pics are of what I wanted to cover and how I look when I’m fully covered by suit- i do recommend! So happy with this!
This is the first Amazon review I’ve ever left. But I had to rave about this swimsuit. I took a risk ordering it and it is perfect! I am 5’9″, 200lbs, size 16W. I ordered the XXL and it’s a perfect fit. Excellent fabric, cute and comfy but not frumpy! If they had it in red I’d order another one!
